About

Irv Selman of Selman Insurance

Shortly after leaving active duty in the United States Army I went into the insurance business.

My first job was working for a major insurance company and sold only their products. I learned early on that was not always beneficial for my clients so, I transitioned into being an insurance broker giving me the opportunity to sell for most of the highly rated major life insurance companies. This was of great benefit to my clients giving them a choice and assuring them of quality products at the most competitive prices.

In the course of my career I’ve appeared in court as an expert witness. I am community minded and served as president of the San Fernando California Rotary Club in 1989. In 1996 I was president of the Northridge Little League and was a two-term president of the Granada Hills California Chamber of Commerce in the years 2008-2009. In the mid 1980’s I was chairman Los Angeles Underwriters Association business ethics committee. I’m currently an ambassador of the West Valley-Warner Center Chamber of Commerce and am on the board of directors of the Woodland Hills Rotary Club.

With all these activities, I found the time, and still do to spend quality time with my family.

I take great pride in what I do, counseling my clients and seeing a financial plan coming to fruition.
